Default steel pan vs aluminum pan

looking at a stock depth aluminum pan for around $50 and also there is a 2 quarts larger steel pan i have seen for about the same price... Is there a big difference?

I would think that the higher capacity of the steel pan would outweigh the slight benefits of the aluminum pan...ultimately an aluminum pan with higher capacity and the cooling fins would be the ideal of course if you have the clearance.

I just received a steel Derale pan with the cooling tubes built-in. It is about an inch deeper than the stock pan. It looks sturdy and well made. They go for ~$72.

Steel dents, aluminum cracks. That's why I took off my TCI
deep pan (since I was hitting things with it ). But the
aluminum pan sure sealed better than the chrome TCI I
replaced it with. I hope my Silverado pan will be better.

the stell pan has the fins and I can get it for $50 shipped... Sounds like the way to go I suppose.

Jimmy did it leak on a lot? Thats the only thing I could find searching is that there was sealing issues..
