I have a TH350 in my LS1 and i use the B&M Hammer shifter dropped in like a charm very minor mods some say it was built just for the car! I beleive that. it took me about an hour and a half but it all went together. you have to cut a little of the air bag computer bracket but make sure u do it with the battery disconnected. Then you can slide it back a little and it should go right in. sorry no pics but i just finished doing it. it was really easy!! also their will be a little gap under the middle of teh shifter base but no biggie. have fun!!

Here is a B&M pro stick (pretty much a quarter stick copy) in an A4 console, had to cut the top it but it turned out OK.

beautiful! did you have to make a stand for the shifter... meaning did it sit too low if you bolted it to the floor?

please explain very detailed what you had to do.....

Its just 1/8" aluminum plate bolted to the stock shifter bolts and the shifter is spaced up ~2" in the rear and 1.5" in the front. It has to spaced up higher to get the cover to stick out the right amount. Have to cut out the ashtray parts that hang down also but it all fits pretty nice. Here is a couple more pics so you can see where everything sits.

Default shifter

i think i have one of the cleanest 6 spd consoles with a ratchet shifter. i even used the slp shift ****. most people think i have a 6 spd in the car.
lots of hacking, but it all fits with no rattles.
edit: its a b&m quicksilver..... no extra handles or lockout tabs. its a full ratchet.
