Default 4L60E to TH350 swap?

For those that have done this. Is it worth it?

I seems the 4L60E fails sooner or later anyway, is the TH350 any stronger?

How much power can the TH350 handle reliably?

Have any of you run a lockup TH350? What stalls?

How much did you pick up from the swap, all things being equal?

Right now I either have to rebuild my 4L60E or upgrade to something.

Finally what are the ratios for a TH350?

Thanks

Is your car your daily driver? If I were you, I'd search on here for good recommendations on a built 4L60E. I currently have a th350 and I'm going to go back to a vacuum modulated 4L60E.

No it is not my daily driver, but I do drive it on the street.

Why are you switching back?

I just can't seem to get past not having Over_Drive. It pulls like a raped ape, but I want to drive /cruise decent distances and get better gas mileage. Racing is on the back burner for me.

Yeah but it doesn't look as bad as you think. i could get the same results with stock sized tires if i had 3.42's but i have 4.10's. 3050 lb car 5300 stall stock LS1. about 15 mpg in the city and 20 on the highway.

Do you ever run on stock rims or only drag lites? I have some centerline wheels for track duty..but prefer the stock wheels for state troopers.(I'm less likely to be pulled over.)

I have a 3500ish stall with 3.73 gears. Not sure on weight or gas mileage. I just know it drinks gas like a thirsty hog!

When i had stock rims and full exhaust i used to get pulled over ALOT! (mainly cause i was doing stupid ****) But now that i'm older and wiser i run around everyday with the welds and open headers and have gotten pulled over twice in the last year. (i was speeding)
I've noticed cops don't really car what you drive. its more of how you drive it.
