If your track is prep good & your not spinning, Just smash it from idle. Also try different pressure in your MT radials. I would start at 16psi & keep adding 1lbs until they spin to find the best pressure. With the humidity & shity track prep here in South FL my pressure ranges from 13 - 17psi with 16" MT radials. High DA equals less power & less 60". During the cooler months im always in the low 1.6's & during the summer mid to high 1.6's. Good luck

Your 60' seems about right with your current set-up. What kind of power are you making, this is directly proportional to stall speed. We see alot these lightly modded A4 cars flashing off idle. My current setup has netted low 1.7 with 2800 stall and 3.73 with 3600# race weight on drag radials. Practice you will find a sweet spot that your ride likes.

What kind of suspension mods have you done.

1.566 here. Launch at 2200rpm (3.73:1)
It is relative to how much power you are putting through

My suspension is completely stock. The only thing that may help with traction (other than tires) are the SFC's and poly trans/torque arm mounts. I dynoed 343.9rwhp on an unlocked vig3200 with a new stage 3 trans not broken in. My car has seen better mph withOUT the ls6 intake and stock trans everything else being the same.

I'll definately need to practice more and find out what its threshold is. On the street, I'll spin quite a bit but on a prepped track it's an entirely different story. FWIW, my tire pressure was at 20-21psi.

Look into some aftermarket lower control arms with relocation brackets and try a lower tire pressure at the track.I make about the same power with a 2800 stall & 3.73 with 16-18psi and the car will dead hook with Nittos, just ask my old Richmond gears. Best 60' 1.73. Good luck.

i couldn't even get a chirp out of them, dead hook each and every pass. very consistent, a bunch of 1.70's and a 1.69.

If I broke 1.69 I would leave well enough alone. Considering the 7.5 rear you can't get to rowdy.
