Aftermarket trans pump.
What/who/where is a good place to order a 13 vane pump from online? Two stock pumps have grenaded in the last year and pulling the tranny every 6 months is getting old, its not very hard to do now but still....
Thanx for the help guys.

I think you need to focus more on what is making your pumps go kaboom. Chances are you will do the same to a 3rd pump. If your converter is going bad, it can destroy your pump. As long as the tranny is out, I would try a different converter in it for a little while.
Thanks for the help, but this is the second converter also so... I think I already know what the problem is.... tranny shop I went to.
So, anyone know where I can order another pump?
Thanx again.

i believe no one offers an aftermarket pump however you can install the high rev kits available from like transgo, the only other pump availabel is the one out of a 4l65e it has an offset rotor which allows for extra capacity it is what is put in the new ls2's

Yeah maybe I shouldnt have said aftermarket lol, but I'm just looking for something a little better than a stock 4L60E pump. I know there is a 13 vane pump somewhere out there but just dont know where.
all 4l60e pumps can be converted to 13 vein there is no difference but the rotor in a rebuild just ask them to change the rotor the only thing that will do though is provide more volume what do you mean it is blowing up
Well the last time it blew, I took it to the tranny shop and dropped it off. When I came back it was already fixed and the dude that fixed it showed me some bits and pieces of something and said "thurs yer problum". I'm no tranny expert so I just assumed it was the pump because thats what he said he replaced. Needless to say I'm not going back there, I'm just gonna order a rebuild kit and have a buddy of mine fix it up.
Think I found a good place www.transmissioncenter.net
Monday I'll be ordering some parts from them and hopefully get it fixed soon.
Thanks for the help.

if it was round and plack with holes in it that is the rotor in hte pump they crack and break every once in a while it is not to common but it happens if i were you, i always use a transgo high rev kit or no yo yo kit it strengthens the rings inside if you keep breaking the pump still then you have another problem a common mistake is that pressure is too high because with the lug type of drive for the pump you can run over 210-225 psi safely without snapping the lugs off
The 10 vane setup is what I use in all of my Performance builups. They have more volume than the 13 vane setup. If you are using an existing 10 vane setup, stick with the 10 vane (do not) go to the 13 vane, as there are no advantages to doing this. If on the other hand, you already have the 13 vane setup, and you want to retain this, go ahead, just use the steel rotor rings from Trans-Go. They come in Hi-Rev No Yo Yo (5,500 rpm & up), and standard 5,500 rpm & up. As stated earlier, I prefer the 10 vane setup, as they produce a slight more volume than the 13 vane setup.
