Vigilante 4000,4200,4400?
Im about to upgrade my stall with vigilante. I have one free adjustment. So i would like to go to a 4400 but ive had a couple people say that stall would flash out of my power range with the 4.10s. Im not too sure about that. Which stall do you guys think would be the best for the 1/4 and my 4.10s. I do drive it daily but only for about one more month so im not worried about that. And i already have a b&m cooler. So that should be fine. So 4000,4200,or 4400???

a LOT of mods are being installed as we speak. While im upgrading everything else just wanted to get as much as possible out of the converter. So you say a vig3600? How much of a gain would i see with that over my current vig3000?

oh yeah, Ill be running a 150hp shot by TNT kit and full bolt ons within the end of the month. So you guys can consider those mods with what stall ill need. Want as much 1/4 mi performance as possible. At the beginning of 2006 i plan on adding heads, cam, and procharger w/75hp shot. Ill worry about which way to go with the bottom end then too.

150 shot + Vig 4400
Let me know what happens. Maybe you'll flash to redline.
Here's my thought... Put the spray on and measure what happens with your current converter. Then evaluate what you need. Most people stick with the Vig 3200 if they are spraying or going FI.

If you were going for N/A i'de say a 4600 at least. but with spray the highest i'de go it a 4000.

well i wont be spraying off the line. You guys still think a 4400 is gonna flash too high with a procharger and then a 75hp shot when 2nd hits? Im gonna try my current one with the 150hp shot in about 2 weeks but i still wont be using it until 2nd gear so i dont think the stall should make much of a difference. Its my assumption that 1st gear is the only gear the stall will flash in. Is this right?

It is not flashing per say, but on the upshifts there will be a shift extension. A Vig 4400 stall with a procharger and spray will probably end up with a very long shift extension. That's normally pretty helpful in NA situations, but it doesn't help nearly as much with your blower (depending on where full boost is acheived) and generally works against the benefit of nitrous.
Bolt up your set-up and run it as is. Don't go changing things untill you what the problem or true benefit will be. It's not like you need to take the converter out to put the blower on.

are you daily driving this car? if so i've heard that the higher stall vigs are pretty loose and very ineffecient.. and that their lower stalls are perfect street/strip verters..
Thats what i've heard though.. i have a Vig3200.. and i am upgrading to an SS4000 for streetability and a crazy stall at the track..
I'm sur eyou'll get a 1000 different opinions though.. just like i did! i finally made my decision! Good luck at the track! post info on the high stall vig so we know what its like.. Loose/tight.. shift extension.. good luck!

like ragtop said i'd look at shift extensions. with a smaller stall like a 3600 and the torque of the nitrous you'll have a good powerband.
remember bigger ain't always better. i think those 4.10's are going to be way too much and you'll be hitting redline way before the finish line. in addition your economy is gonna be ****.

Since the car will see some street use, I'd go with the 4000 stall. If it was a track only car, and it can hook, 4400 all the way. I don't think your going to see a big difference in your 60' times between a 4000 and a 4400 stall.
