Default how long will it last

the first thing that will go will be the shell- it will usually go on a 3-2 or 4-2 kickdown= then will hit rev limiter and no longer have 2nd- 4th- or reverse. craig

If the car is basically stock except for the S/C, the tranny will last another year or two before needing a rebuild assuming 1) it is in decent condition now, and 2) the S/C is tuned properly. If you have headers, cam, intake etc and expect be to around 500 RWHP, then the time before rebuild will probably be less than a year.

a factory A4 is only rated at 360 lbft of torque. if you get a new one from gm with the 3 year warranty, its only rated at 370 lbft of torque. i went through 4 rebuilds on one tranny, 2 i paid for and 2 that were warrantied, and then decided to buy a new one. all this was before i put in a hotcam. the 4l60e is a piece of junk. it shows how cheap gm was with these cars, using a tranny that is in v6 cars, and a rearend that is in 4cylinder trucks and v6 cars and trucks. trust me, it is worth your money to upgrade now.

Are you seeing pattern here? LOL Buy you a different tranny first then look into a S/C
