Default Newbie Question:I need to know about Torque Converters

I am rebuilding my trans. and I hear everyone all the time talking about converters, I wanted a lil' stronger one that the stock if that's possible, I have your basic mods, with gutted converters, headers, and exhaust. . .2nd time changing this out that's why I wanted a diff. converter!!!

How many miles on the tranny since the last rebuild? When you get a converter, make sure you get a cooler also. What year car do you have?

A trans cooler? I have a 98 automatic. . .Can I get these seperately

You can get a tranny cooler seperate. Heat kills the autos.

i got a 24000 cooler from hayden and my temps run bout 125 cruising and 160 at the strip

What about a good converter for a daily driver w/ basic mods. any suggestions with price and where I can purchase thiem at please, thanks all!!!
