Tranny Temp Gauge ?
Tranny Temp Gauge ? Well i hooked my tranny temp gauge today and i got it all in and stuff. So im watching it when im driving to test how high it gets and it slowly goes up to 180 and then about to 200, then i sit and let it idle in park and i come back and its at 250. So im going to let it cool down now and see if maybe it actually is that hot or not. I used 18 gauge wire and i checked the sender and made sure it was fine also, i was just wondering if i should of used thicker wire. So i dunno, im really paranoid now so if anyone knows anything just send me something. Thanks Alot
No, but would the stock trans get up to 250 when it is 40 degees outside. Right after i got done driving it i went back and pulled the sender and felt the fluid it was no 250 then when i put back in the sender and turned on my car it showed it was at 210, so i think the sender is faulty, i got an extra one so ill try that, and if that doesnt work ill have to figure it out.

Make sure that you have the guage wiring right. The ground wire goes to the middle stud. Also make sure that if you used a lot of teflon tape that you ground the sender.
I did this by cutting a small wire and getting a small hose clanp and clamped it to the outside of the sensor on the wrench flange. You can remove a bolt out of the pan and connect the other end there.
