To shut them up, put a 3500+ converter in there, then race them. That will shut them up pretty quickly.

i remember awhile back when this topic came up some guy with an a4 said, can a manual car's driver get head and eat a hamburger at the same time

back to my opinion if u want a street car get a 6 speed, if u want a drag car get the auto. when was the last time u heard of an a4 driver say he missed a shift? i wanted a M6 ws6 trans am that was 22grand, i got the 3.23 a4 z28 for under 12 grand 2 years ago. and every time i go to the track i couldnt be happier

yeah i like ur guys style. altho i mainly keep my races to the street not track i think i will throw in a 3500 s.c in and show them what there really dealing with and see if they can shift better then a computer. we will see whos running there mouth after haha

its funny with my fuddle 3400/2.1 converter they all think my car is a stick now just dont from a higher roll past 65 mph unless u have a lot of power the gearing in the 6 speeds help them out a lot more than... hell they still can miss a shift

I get that all the time....from uninformed highschool kids/random people who don't know much about cars...

Every now and then random LS1 owners who just bought their with a M6 car ask if I dislike my A4...I just ask when they are gonna to run low 12s on street tires with bolt ons....hell and im still on stock convertor.

Yeah, I get that a lot. I think someone would be hardpressed to shift faster then my tuned A4. And our rearends should last longer then our M6 counter parts = more $$$ for other mods.

Most of my F-body friends have manuals. It has become a running joke now to give each other crap for having the "inferior" transmission.

Im a senior in high school and I get that crap all the time. People say that a automatic is junk but they just dont understand. I hear boo's and people talking crap alot, but they just dont understand the feeling you get when you rip a killer 60'.
