Good old vig
I bought this Vig3200 used about 3-yrs ago. I've been real happy with it, but always seem to want to upgrade or restall it bigger. But every time I get ready to do it this Vig3200 just keeps impressing me. Yesterday I got it into the 1.5's, best of 1.58 in 80 degree weather .
8 runs

1.599
1.602
1.637 (spun)

I gotta get over to BMP one of these days. Everybody tells me it hooks so much better than Moroso.
I know what you mean about the little Vig. I just swapped mine out for the Yank SS4000. Since I made the change I can't get it to hook with 16" ET Streets @ Moroso so I bought a pair of 275/50/15 ET Street Radials. Will get them mounted this week and try em. If it still doesn't hook I may have the Vig re-stalled to a 3200 and put it back in. I like the shift extension on the Yank but if I can't get it to hook what good is it.
Do those MT Dr's hook at Moroso for you?

That's the problem with the track we have to deal with. Moroso is only good for the first hour, then it goes to ****. I run the same size MT you bought & Lately I have been able to hook at Moroso for atleast afew run's a night, best so far was a 1.62 there. I would love to run a big stall Yank, I shift at 6800 & my shift extension drops down to 5200. I should be able to gain 2/10th with a nice yank. But BMP is just to far for me & Moroso isn't prep good enough.
Moroso would be a great track if they just prep it, with all the people going there you know their making the money!

I have the same converter, I love it out of the hole. I pull 1.58-1.63 regularly. The only thing Im not impressed about is my MPH, It is down a couple with this one versus my old Midwest 3200.
This converter loves the Dope too.

I've dead hooked on 17 inch nitto and et street dr's (both 275/40/17's). Best 60ft has been on the ET's (1.66 twice) and have dead hooked with a 1.69 on nitto dr's. Raceweight of 3670.
I think my vig is maxed out with my 3.23 gears. However when stalling it up as high as I could on the same day I spun so maybe it can do better.
Anyone have any spray results with one?

Those are great 60’ times. The best I have been able to do so far with mine is 1.85. Do you power brake the converter out of the hole or just stomp on it at the last yellow light? If you power brake at what RPM to you try to maintain as you launch? I lost about 2 MPH with my converter but I was able to cut 3 tenths form my 1/4 mile. I am not sure if it’s the converter or just because I am not launching properly. Rick

I loved my old Vig 3200. Prolly the best converter i have had in the car and i have had 5 in this car. My 01 Formula with just a vig 3200 and gears went a 8.0 in the 1/8 and a 150 shot it went a 7.0. This is on stock manifolds and thats it. Loved it.

Those are some good numbers from everyone with this converter. I get my best results launching off idle, Also I used a short belt for the 1st time & that had to help my 60' numbers also.

so how does the spray affect the vig out of the hole? in fact, how do you spray with one since i hear a stall will flash higher when spraying.
i always stomp it off idle. up to 2000rpm only makes it leave the line softer. higher and it would spin, go figure.
