Well, in fairness to the original poster.... It would give him something to compare to if he's deciding on a converter. Telling someone a converter is 2.1STR means nothing unless he can gauge it based on "ok, I'm going from 1.8 -> 2.1"

Hopefully people will stop assuming the stock one is 1.0 STR now

Not him, I meant the efficiency question. The efficiency of a stock one is something he shouldn't even be worrying about...compare different models of vigs, yanks, whatever.
