Question WOT Vibration at High Speeds-Please Read

I just replaced my tranny mount w/a poly mount and it is great. However, I now have vibration that I feel through my seat sitting at idle...I can deal w/that, but I get a strong vibration at high speeds when at WOT. For example last night I floored it at 65mph and ran it up to 105mph and the whole time the car was vibrating. Can anyone tell me how I might be able to fix this? Does it have anything to do with the old mount being busted and this one being so much stiffer throws off the angle or something like that? Or, maybe it just needs to break in a little?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

did you put the extra metal spacer in? If so try taking it out that may help but your going to get a little bit of vibration from a poly mont

This is probably driveline angle related vibration, being
harder coupled to the floor pan. You may need to get
an adjustable TA if removing / adding shims doesn't do
it for you. You can drop the crossmember by putting
shims between it and the outboard mount bosses, if
taking out the plate does not suffice (avoiding buying
a new piece). The stock TA flex could permit some
pinion angle change w/ load, do not know if the stock
one or aftermarket is on there now. Adjusting the adj
TA is a pain to get right in my experience.

So you think its a matter of angle and/or adjustability? I thought so too just wasn't sure what would be adjusted to try and solve it...

Well, there's the simple, harder coupling of whatever vibration
-does- exist; that's inherent to the poly mount. Best you can
do is minimize the source vibration. For it to be load dependent
pretty much implicates the U-joints (angle, or change in angle,
or both). The change in angle (soft TA, LCA mounts and arm
flex) is why you see advice that pinion angle should be 1-2
degrees negative, static - to accommodate the flex / bunge
under high forces.

First step is probably to get ahold of an angle gauge (Home
Depot, though the Johnson brand one I got there sucked)
or BMR --> (cheap, and works fine).

i think i may have the same problem, can you tell me how to check angle? and what do you need to adjust, the trans or TA with shims and how do you do that????

I think the softer rubber mount helps absorb alot of the vibrations.I had none before I installed poly tranny mount.

Yeah I am getting a poly mount but only because i'll have to...I don't think the stock mount is going to hold up to my SS3600 w/FLT Built tranny too well...

I'd like to see input from someone who has actually alleviated this issue.
