and there is a **** trying to slide away....

XxXtransamXxX,

You should REALLY stop and take some stock...
You SAID....

You do know the 4L60e can be built to handle anything the 4L80e can throw at it...
You were then proved wronge.
You were called out.

and you replied....

I am talking about an everyday street driven car, not somethin you put in a car to run down the track
Wow... what happened to ANYTHING ???

and then...
nor did I say it would hold to a monster
huh??? let me look back again...
YOU said....
You do know the 4L60e can be built to handle anything the 4L80e can throw at it...
Am I missing something here? Or are you just a lier incapable of admitting when he is WRONGE.

but wait.... theres MORE!!!!

you wimpered....
It's funny how people call someone names because they are a tech
No... its not funny... you know what IS funny???
Any ASSHAT that would come on a TECH site and say....

So are you disagreeing with an ASE Master Certified Tech, who's a Master GM tech as well?
YOU waved that little paper title around like it made you right.
YOU started speaking down to other member because they disagreed with you.
YOU were wronge from the begining
and YOU are to big of a COWARD to even come out and say... I was wronge.

YOU bring SHAME to that title, and are EXACTLY the kind of "master" tech that gives the title little to NO clout.

Like I said before. Being ASE, means one thing and one thing only.... You know how to take a TEST...

oh wait.....

F***ing F-bodies have all the options. Congrats on your 4l80. Im pretty much stuck wiyh the 60 in my Vette. You read one post and they are living with FI power. Read another and they break if you look at them sideways. I have about $1100 in mine and ready to dump another $1100 just to bring it up to todays standard of available parts. Has not even been in the car yet. Far as I know, I dont have the 4L80E option. You suck.

Let me say this is the first thread I have read that delt with soo much controversy between the 60E and 80E. I will put my 2 cents in the 80E will handle more power than the 60E, but it does have it downside like the high first gear and heavy. Most people on here want a transmission that will hold up to the power but also be very reliable. This is why most people like the 80E, yes you can build a 60E to handle a lot of power but it won't be very reliable. Show me a 60E in a 1 ton dually pulling >15K lbs., lasting for 100,00+ miles; and I will show a you 80E that can not stand up to a 5hp Briggs and Stratton engine, but you have to come up the 60E first.

As for the person who is making the statement that he is a certified ASE mechanic and GM tech, stop saying this because there are ASE certified people that are complete morons. An example of this, the hosts for Truck Universe absolute morons (take a look at their shirts), this is just a 30 minute commercial for parts, when does a mechanic know how to sell parts. When I was going to school for auto mechanics, I had several classmates that could not pass an open book, open notes test; these tests were 2 hrs. long, 20 questions, and questions came right out of the book. After taking all of these classes, I came to the conclusion ASE certification is just a piece of paper telling everybody else they know how to do an oil change. These classmates I was talking about passed the ASE certification test. As for GM techs, I would not trust one within 10 feet of my truck unless I watched every single move he made (if I could do it, I would be tied to them with a 2 feet long piece of rope), they are their to make money, they do not care if you vehicle runs right or not.

Let me just say these are my opinions and my opinion only, they are in no way supported by anyone else, unless they deem fit.

When I pushed the "Place order" button yesterday, the total was over 1800.00. I will now have every currently available HD part for my 4L60E. Took me twenty minutes to push the button.

Has anyone put a 4L80E into a 1993-1997 vehicle? I'm strongly considering it.
