Started transgo shift kit install.....Q
Also, do you really put everything back in the 2nd accumulator as shown(spacers->seat->blue spring->reversed piston->orange spring)? Wouldnt the orange spring press up against the plastic sheild on the tranny and break it when you reinstall the thing?

As for the accumulator setup... Set it up EXACTLY as shown. It will work great. I have a transmission shop in Tampa that specializes in performance transmissions. We install about 2-3 of these kits every week and they work VERY well.
I would suggest replacing the servos on the side of the transmission and going with a BILLET servo for both 2nd and 4th. You will be impressed. They work great as well.
Have fun!

Ok, now I am working on getting the VB out of the tranny. How do you remove the wiring connection on the round solenoid(assuming) RIGHT next to the 2nd accumulator housing?
Thanks!

Next, remove the four cross member bolts and let the tail of the transmission fall down. Pop the snap ring off the servo cover. Use some channel locks and grab the end of the servo cover and twist while pulling. You'll notice that it only comes out a little bit. The O-Ring prevents it from easily coming out because it gets caught in a groove. You can see the o-ring through one of the cutouts around the servo. It is Blue in color. Wrap a pick around it and pull on it. If it breaks, you just have to pull out the whole thing. But usually, you can pull on it enough that it gets skinny enough to pull on the servo cover. You need to stretch the o-ring at the same time that you are pulling on the servo cover. I hope this makes sense. Once you start to do it, you'll know what I mean.
Now you can just pull the servo out in pieces and do whatever you need.
As for the connector on the "big" solenoid, (pressure control) you just pull on it. You can use a screw driver to push the plug off the solenoid. The connector disconnects in the direction of the wires. It's not hard to do.
As far as checkballs... remember... 1 in the case and seven in the valve body. Not hard to figure out where they go. Make sure the one that is nearest the front of the transmission hasn't beat up the spacer plate. If it has, you can either use a bigger checkball, or replace the separator plate. I recommend replacing the plate with a TransGo one.

So, I removed the shield, Wire retainer, cover, 4th Piston, housing.
Now I am stuck at the 2nd piston, there is not enough space to remove the whole thing as one assembly. Does the 2nd piston come apart from the needle pin and all the springs, etc? Or does it have to come out as one assembly? THere just is not enough room!
Beyond that, everything else is done except for the 4th accumulator, where the heck is it? Cant see it for some reason!
Thanks again transman!
