Default convertor advice

hey i am looking a getting a 3600 fuddle stall, right now i've went 12.98 @108 mph with a stock stall and 2.73 and nittos. And my best mph was 109 with a low 13 second ET.
I want to go with a 3600 and i will install my 3.42 gears. What do you think i will run?

you guys with a fuddle 3600 how is it for daily driving? I also use my car as a DD and race it about twice a month.
thanks

A good stall speed and gears can definitely take a good half second off of your ET.

I voted 12.5

I vote for 12.4.Even though its not an option. It will be alot harder to hook for sure. You will need practice. If you get your 60' time down to 1.60 IMO you may hit 12.3's..good luck

If you can get the car to hook with the 3.42s, you may go below 12.2. I voted 12.2 since you didn't have a lower figure.

The 3.42's aren't going to give you much at the track, but they're going to make the car so much more pleasant to drive around town. With my similar mods, I ran a best of 12.6 @ 106 up here in the 1/4 mile high city; with your 109 trap, low altitude, higher stall, & headers, I think you could see a 12.2 with good traction on a cool day.

Personally, for a stock cam, I would go no bigger than the Fuddle 3200. The 3600 will yield better gains at the track, but reduce your usable RPM due to a 300RPM increase in shift extension. For street/strip use, the 3200 gets my pick.

I don't agree with that. You want to grow into your mods. That's like saying get a 78mm FAST manifold instead of the 90mm. Plan your mods ahead. What if he was to get a converter for the stock cam but then later on he wants to change the cam? Now he'll have to change the converter again to match that cam. Do it right the first time and you'll save money in the long run.

My advice, don't get a converter less than a 3500

I'll buy that. But, I dont know he wants to go a cam etc. I would still recommend a Fuddle 3200/2.0 for even a 224-224 cam - but thats just my opinion. Its just that well balanced for street and strip.

If you wanted to verge more on strip side, then of course 3600 is the go, with the 4000 for bigger cams approaching 240+ duration and 4400 for serious track use and the hardest of launches.
