3400 + 2.3 STR + 3.73 = Close to stock feel?
I've done a lot of research on here, about to buy a Yank SS3400 with 2.3 STR - I want to be reassurred one more time this is the right choice. My priorities:
- Reliability/Efficiency
- Tight on the street (I have 3.73's)
- Launchable at track on Nitto DR's
- .3-.4 ET

Hooking with Nittos all depends on the track prep, track temp, psi and how good of a burnout you did. My converter has a 2.5 STR and with a good burnout I dead hook on 245 Nittos for very low 1.7 60' times.
I run 18-20 psi, do a good burnout (7 seconds after I start seeing smoke) and I stage as quick as I can. Now I don't have 3.73's yet but if the track prep is good I bet I can still pull 1.7's.
As for streetable you should be fine. I think my converter is streetable with 3.23's so it would have to feel even tighter with your gears. Get the stall, get the higher STR (you'll want it at the track) and if you can't hook then get some MT street radials to replace the Nittos.
Good Luck.
