Yank Tranny Trouble.

Alternatively, you can let someone else rebuild it and see if it lasts longer than 3 months. If it doesn't, then its some other factor.
The 4L70 is what Yank calls their 200-4R conversion kit. They consider it to be stronger than the 4L60E but weaker than the 4L80E, hence the name.

They need to fix it once and for all (maybe an install at their shop to rule any other issues out?) or give you your money back plain and simple IMHO.

I'd like to know how many trannies too, it's one thing to have problems it's another to not be specific.
I'd throw a stock one back in for now.
This post stays up for sure.
What keeps dying in the tranny? Have you sent back the tranny a few times or how has that worked?

Look like he`s not being straight with you Patrick.
1. reduce your downtime,
2. solve your porblems if there is actually something wrong in your tranny that they're not catching
Otherwise, I'd start checking the electronics that go along with your tranny. I've had issues with my torque converter lockup interupt switch that fried my tranny. Luckily, the shop I took it to, wouldn't drop the tranny until they felt that they found what really caused the failure.
A second route would possibly be your computer. Did you have your computer re-flashed anytime close to when your trannies started dying? I've gotten a computer that wasn't programmed correctly before. It blew a couple of switches here and there, but after a few trips back to the shop, everything was again, solved. There's allot of programming **** in those computers, and it's not that difficult to screw something up. Keep us all posted on what you find.
On a side note...to ensure that no one questions your testimonial, be specific with the facts, don't let emotion blow things out of proportion. Both sides just end up leaving pissed off.

what is the difference between a 60 or 70. i know the 70 is a 700r4 but that is just a 60 without the electronics all parts are physically identical so how can yank make it any better than a 60 since it is the same tranny?

The 4L70 is a 200R4 not a 700R4/4L60E.
