YANK SS3600 questions

YANK SS3600 questions I am going to have a TC installed in the very near future. The recomendation I got was to go with a stall of 3600. How will this affect the manners of my car on the street? I don't want to have to mat the thing to get rolling...Mods so far are Kooks LT W/catted Y, Lid, Bellows, GMMG. Shock Tower Brace and Frame Connectors will be installed on the 10th of this month. Heads and Cam will follow.
Looking for feedback from those who are running something close as far as the TC. Also, is Yank worth the money?? Thanks in advance

I have the Yank SS3600 on my 1989 Trans Am. It lowered my ET by 3 tenths over my SLP2400 converter. You will notice a difference however you don't have to mash the throttle to get going. I got used to the slight difference right away.
When you do mash the throttle you will notice that the engine flashes higher than it did and that is what it is supposed to do. All in all I'm very happy with mine. Excellant product. Best et of 12.71 @ 107.65mph. More mods to follow.
By the way my converter is set up lock up around 43mph which is most of the driving time for me. If under that it is usually in stop and go traffic and it takes very little throttle.

I have a Yank SS 3600 as well. It will take some getting use to if you have not had a car with a big stall befor. Though you do not have to mash it to get it going. You have to give it slightly more gas than a normal car but it's not like you have to stomp on it to get it to move. I'm very happy with the stall.

Yank ST3500 2.5 STR here....had it in about a month and don't really remember what it was like with the stock stall. My point is, you get used to it quickly and everything seems normal. It takes me about 2200 RPM's to get moving, 2500 to stay with traffic. Shift extension is 5100!!! I love it and can't wait to get to the track to see what I gained.

I have about the same plans for my car as you do, but so far all I have are some free mods and a Yank SS4000. I ran the car last night and today and got a new best et 12.29@108 1.63 60ft last night and a new best 60ft today of 1.61 that was on a 12.31@108 pass. So I would say Yank is worth the money for sure. As for street manners it's pretty good. Takes a few more r's to get it going, but once it hits 45mph it locks up and drives like stock. Go with the Yank, you won't regret it.
