I wonder if Taco will ever go deeper into his "broken axel" story...

Yes, neutral drops will destroy the transmission more quickler than almost anything else you can do besides getting it really, really hot.

When I broke my rear end in my cam only A4 I had a 4k stall, ET streets and was pulling low-mid 1.6 60's. The posi/spider gears broke.

....gears will either cost you little money or will be very expensive.....you can spend 1500 bucks on your 10bolt....if your gonna spend that much save up and get a 12 bolt

what's to tell? his name was chris. he had either a 2000 or a 2001 blue camaro SS. it had a K&N FIPK, a loudmouth exhaust and 3.73's. he used to have his foot to the floor all the time. he ran a 12.7 in the quarter mile. he had a bad axel. the axel did not snap, it was just shot. back when i had my 3.4L V6 firebird, i was interested in buying his rear to put it in my car but after i found out he had a bad axel i passed on it. he wound up selling the camaro and getting a truck and moving to texas. i wound up selling the V6 and buying an LS1 car. there's my story.

10-bolts break even in relatively stock autos. get over it guys, it's well known.

and no, to my knowledge he was never doing neutral drops. he could break the tires loose at 60 mph, no need for neutral drops.
