Default all around stall size?

what size stall would you suggest would be the perfect size stall for a TRUE STREET CAR DAILY DRIVER, that will NEVER SEE THE TRACK!! i was looking at a 3200 stall or maybe a 3600. some of the cams i looked into are mti g1, x1, tsp 228/228. i would only race my car on the freeways from a roll, or from a stoplight. i plan on going with 3.42 or 3.73 gears also..

What kind of tires? I would image street tires or possibly drag radials. For this you would need a soft STR like a 1.8 - 2.2 max. What other mods do you have or are planing on? Based on just those cam and speculating you have the supporting mods, I would say a 3600-4000 stall. Ideally a 4000 with a 2.0 would be good.

i plan on running some 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 chrome z06 rims. so im leaning towards drag radials. not sure of the size though. im not gonna try and run 4000 stall. thats too damn huge..lol. i actually wanna go with 3.42 gears..

I have those wheels. Definitely get some good DR's. And trust me, once you get a stall, you will realize that no matter what stall you have, it's never big enough.

If you are going to run street tires I would stay with a 3500 stall and 3.23/.42 gears.
If you are going to run DR I would go with a 4000-4400 stall and 3.73 gears.

Have fun.

It sounds to me like you are a perfect candidate for a Vigilante 3200 stall converter. Do a search on Vig 3200 and convince yourself.

hey gold z, thats what i want to run is a 3200. thunder racing has told me to stick with a 3200 so that way its tight around town and stuff like that. everybody is telling me to go huge..lol... but my car is a street car. i want a nice quick street car. i hear the vigilante stall is under rated.. so a 3200 is like a 3400 or so.. i want to run 18x10.5 in the rear. i dont know what size dr will fit perfectly..but i do like the 3200 though.

i am gonna run with dr.. but which is better from a roll a big stall or little stall? i hear stay with a smaller tighter convertor while some say go bigger? i just cant imagine being at a stop light in a 4 way intersection with a 4k stall and trying to hook up.. thats insane.. i figure most of my races would be from a roll and from a stop light. i want to go 3200 but the 3600 would be my biggest..
