Default tune with stall

when people talking about getting car tuned with stall what does this mean?

usually torque managment is deleted, shift rpms might have to be corrected if they are bangin the rpm limiter, shift time might be played with, or the lock up might be adjusted.

it wasnt on mine but ever car is different. some need a tune after headers but generally speaking, no you shouldnt need one

A good tuner can get you max power and effiency. You can pick up power and torque from a bone stock car. The new C6 will pick up almost 29 rwhp, and the new ZO6 will pick up a little more then 45. GM has them soo detuned.

Yes u do need to get a tune, because ur rpms are going to climb alot faster than ur speedo, causing u to hit the rev. You also have to remember that not all cars are the same, but to be on the safe side and not blow ur motor or bend a pushrod etc..... get a tune.

speed inc charges $150 for a basic tune and gives discounts off that if you are local sponsored club member. Dyno Tunes are are the expensive ones and are not needed for the basic trans tuning.

Tune is necessary imo just as was said you don't want to be bouncing off the rev limiter on the shifts it can bend pushrods easily. Also some cars left untuned will throw codes and go into Limp mode constantly because they think the trans is slipping from the stall andgetting rid or cutting the stupid torque management down will make the car feel like it should through the shifts. Nice and crisp. Plus more like shift extension, fan on and off temps, all kinds of stuff can be changed for the better if you are getting a good tune done.

Thanks the help, a mail order tune will save alot of money and i also plan on putting race headers in so ill need my air and egr deleted as well as my rear 02's. that saves another $80 on 02 sims

what if you already have a tune. I have a madz28 tune but now im gonna have to send it back for my stall?.. seems like everything keeps adding up
