I don't know if that kit came with an upgraded servo or not? It doesnt mention it in the parts list so maybe its stock?

I've tried leaving it in OD, D, and manually shifting. happens no matter what.

Sounds like the clutches may be going then. How many times have you ran it and it hit the rev limiter?

You could try several different things .
if it dosent allready have it a corvette servo ,sonax servo, superior super servo ,
all of these would decrease your area for 3rd acumulation and may help .
You could go back into the shift kit check everything out enlarge the 3-4 clutch feed ,make sure nothing was blocked that should not have been or drilled that shouldnt have been ,

mine's doing the same thing but i'm thinking the servo is bleeding off under half throttle feels fine but over half throttle feels like it binds a little then shifts. servo issue? if so how long would it take to get one.

i'm having that exact same problem on the 2nd to 3rd shift.
1st to 2nd bounces of the rev also. shifts are sloppy at part throttle.
the tune is on point also.

You kit is obviously not the problem, its the "rebuilder".

Hopefully PBA and you worked it out I agree it was not the kit but I have said many times to people who ask us about parts there is more to the build than what parts go in thats only half the story
