trans experts please come in. Locks in 3rd gear happens after driving for a while. When this occurs, I stop, shut the car off for a few seconds and it resets itself and all is good. I replaced all the electronics including the speed sensor switch.
At the track it's perfect..vigilante 3600 is what is in it with a trans-go shift kit.

Im asuming you are saying the tranny shifts to third gear and stays there ,(limp mode)?

locks in 3rd Yes, it shifts to 3rd and does not shift up from there.I have to stop, shut it off and let it re-set. Like i said, I have replaced all solonoids, switches and electronics. Thanks for your help.
well it should set a code you need to have it scanned and get the number for the code and send it to us

Just a note , I hear many people ask if the ses light engine light whatever is on , Now while its true in most cases it will come on when a code is set, I have seen some where it dosnt and the code only shows up in the code history but not realtime scan ,So if your having a problem even though the light may not be coming on its a good idea to get it scanned anyway

Verdad Gallardo Well you could just stop and garag or and autozone or advance first garage would charge average 40 dollars , advance and autozone free , just have them read the codes , and tell them you want the numbers not what they mean , or you can just pickup and inexpensive scanner at one of those

yes... Good way to test it is to drive to an area where you can brake stall the car past 3,000 rpm for 5sec or so and see if it locks you out of gears. To reset it all you need to do is turn off the car for a few seconds and it should ride like normal.. If it does then the code should be shut off. Sometimes its the p0756 code. Basically the same thing... This is all of course if you just installed your converter and it started happening..

you either need to turn off missfire codes or have the misfire detction number increased..

Could the 2-3 valvetrain behind the 2-3 solenoid be sticking...?
