I'm guessing that's in a crate? Anyone ever shipped one of these through ground instead of freight?

Sweet! Thanks for the help man, it was going to cost $300 to ship the thing through fedex freight! But I've got a buddy that works for fedex express and he said if it'll ship express/ground he can get me 75% off. So it looks like it'll go to Houston for less than $25.

not tail shaft- tail housing , many places including us do not ship the tail housing because there are several different types and styles so to assure compatability generally its expected that you use your original , Though we can get them when its needed for various reasons

So what if the bushing is shot and takes out your transmission? Does this void the warranty?

nothing voids our warranty pretty much other than changing or other wise modifying the transmission we do not require pro install and when we get one back we just tell people what went wrong and thats that our warranty is very close o unconditional and warranty return over the years have been very rare.

Sorry I meant the housing. Just thought a lot of people would want a new one if they are replacing this in a higher mileage car. If it's not really an item that wears out then no big deal.

I can't imagine selling our customers/dealers transmissions without bell & tail housings. It's very common for the tail bushing/seal to be replaced in most transmissions that we see. But then again were different then most other trans shops when it comes to Q/C. Thus the reason you don't see most transmission shops with a trans dyno like we have.

Theres absolutely no reason to send a bell housing to the customer other than if the have a damaged or cracked or just don't have one , all the would do is cause additional cost in shipping weight wise and make core acquisition much more difficult since many of the cores we get do not have bell housings on them ,And since we require no core return that would pose a problem an additional expense for the customer for us to purchase bells for every unit, And while we don't compromise quality in anyway we also want to keep our prices in a range that people can afford ,A bell housing is not normally considered a wearable part.
As fo the tail housing we do advise the customr and or shop installing to inspect the bushing and replace the seal which we do furnish, And again if needed we do work something out but the reasoning for not furnishing the tail is the same reason as the bell most of the time they are missing not to mention there can be several different types again and unessesary expense to the customer. Not requiring a core return has proven to be a great assett to the customer. less hassel for them, Lower cost for them.
We always have there best interest in mind. Adding those two items would mean we would have to start asking for a core return adding several 100 dollar to the cost of each unit, And since we would then become dependant on those cores we would be like everyone else doing pro rated core refunds based on condition of cores , Having to pass on the additional cost of shipping etc to the customer, As it is now we beleave is better since our customer pays only the price listed no hidden charges no additional shipping. No unknowns the customer pays for and gets exactly whats advertised. And thats whats most important to us the customer and making sure they are happy with the least amount of hassel to them.
Thats like our warranty its a hassel free warranty in most cases we simply ship another unit out this is always the case with transmission/converter combos, no questions ask and when we get the other unit back we will tear it down and tell the customer exactly what happened. We will not place blame or attempt to recharge them for anything like some of our competitors do. I have seen with several vendors that they end up charging for hard parts etc etc. We would just fix it,
In addition in many cases on the matter of cores thees nothing wrong with the customers present original transmission so hey get to keep it rather than having to give it away and either save it for some future use or sell it and again recoupe some of there money , This is another way we help the customer by not requiring a core return.
