Default TransAxle resassembly guys plz chime in!!!

Nissan Maxima 93 Auto junkyard trans... need to put the big brake band back on I cant get it on for **** any ideas? I cant pinch it between the holders? also the band has a few little light light surface cracks I figure it will still work the clutches are good im selling the car for cheap





was wondering where these went (2 washers I assume around some bolt holes or something).. where stuck to the magnet when I opened it

I wouldn't reuse the band at all. Especially the way stock clutch matl is. Not long and it is going to completely crumble away.

The two gold washers look like the brass sealling washers for the coolant lines,but not sure,
to get he band in loosen the band ajusting pin slide it in a reajust ,
I allways liked doing the nissian trans

ya I was looking at that and i noticed but pins go into the case one has a little hole in it where u could stick a punch and move it alittle i imagine?

ya i think thats what they are i dont get how they got in there

probably easiest to remove the servo from the side , then put band in.By the way bands only like 7 dollars , interestingly enough it work very similair to the 4l60e the band comes on in 2nd and 4th , it also has a 3-4 clutch all the way down in there and if the bands burned you can bet thy are fried , the do the same job with less than half the surface area the 4l60e has , Just some fyi

yes and you will probably need to get a lit with the steel plates to since the plates in the 3-4 clutch will most likley be warped, the 3-4 clutch so you will know is the little drum last thing that comes out

got new clutches and band in today.. problem is i put the damn things on the table in order and they fell off so i need the order they go in and I cant get the damn band on either
