Anyone that has an after market T/C and can watch tcc slip speed vs rpm please post.Ive just installed a vig 3200 and bottom end is awsome and extremely streetable but it dosen't pull as hard on top 4000-6000. I have an accelerometer. Slip speed @4000 is 850 rpm and drops to 500 @ 6000Rpm.Stock converter was 90-100 max slip above2500 RPM. Just currious other converters. Please give axle ratio and converter. My car 98 SS 3:23 axle. Previous dyno 317 rwhp(stock converter)W/ tuning

I had some data laying around that I collected relative to the LS1-Edit C5 gear scaling fix, here's a quickie plot of TCC slip vs engine speed. No filtering by gear, TPS, or anything like that, just two raw data sets d1 and d2, d1 has one WOT run with a 6k shift point. I think you're mostly interested in the region to the right of 4000 RPM.

I don't have any WOT data points, but the slip speed at idle (everything fully warmed up) is around 650 with a 2.73 and ST3500.

Topless Texan ,I can't seem to open this file, it says forbidden. What am I doing Wrong.
Yes I am most interested 4-6K RPM.

My Yank 3000 shows no more than 32 rpm in autotap. Funny to because my converter won't lock in 4th, but it still wouldn't show more than 32 rpm.

500 rpm is not out of line at 6000 rpm under WOT. I use 300 - 400 as a rule of thumb when estimating rpms through the traps for an A4.
At 4000 rpm WOT you are gaining torque multiplication from that slip differential. Since my car holds around 5500 on the upshift, I see I see over 1500 rpm of slip at that point and the resulting torque multiplication is sweeet.

Made a couple 'a runs today, TCC slip speed just after gear change is high (makes sense) tapers down the further into the gear you get.
@ 6035 rpms mine was @ 413.75 (run 1),@ 504.75 @ 5683 rpms (run 2), both in 2nd gear.
2.73 / ST3500.
I was recording other data also, so the granularity isn't so good. I would liken the TCC slip speed vs rpm curve to be roughly like my stocks taking a big hit, then leveling out.

Thanks for the replys. I wasn't so much concerned with the slip @6000.I was more concerned with the 850 rpm slip @ 4000. It seemed excessive to me Thanks

I can't get any data at that rpm, really, as mine holds ~4600 rpm on the shifts.
