My trans just went out....no more 3rd or 4th gear....
I need a new one or to get a rebuild....I decided to go with performabuilt after talkin to the represenitive from them.....
He sat there and explained everything to me....Very great guy, took his time to make sure I knew and understood everything.......
But i was wondering.....who has a tranny built by them.......do they hold up good?
If they have any quality equal to half of their customer service then i cant imagine how nice they are

i got a level 1 tranny and their 9.5 3000 stall in a 4400 pound impala making 380 at the wheels. trans shifts on time and has never missed a shift. also the "no core charge" and "free shipping" and "$50 discount" is true.
If you are and ls1 tech memember when I batch the sale i reduce the total on transmissions by 50 dollars.
And Dyno humanoid I would like to have copies of the sheets if you dont mind

I wont mind sharing the dyno sheets when I get them. I am currently having a few issues. (Not with the trans) When I went to pick up my car there was a load rear fluid on the ground. We got it on the lift and found that some type of plastic cap in the top of the moser 12bolt had come out. Also, I was freaked when I saw my dyno sheets. My car dynoed 426 NA rwhp two years ago after heads and cam. These new sheets show 350rwhp..something is def wrong somwhere. I hope it is just in the tune.

If youre installing it yourself or can get a good price to install performabuilt with a high stall looks great. You will be dissapointed if you dont stall it now. Wish i had known about them and what i know about stalls back in december when my tranny blew.... goddamn 3-4 clutch packs... lol
When you get those dyno sheets that would be cool

OK. I have been driving my car for a few days and the trans is great. It shifts really hard on heavy throttle and nice and soft @ lower throttle. Lvl 2 seems to be a great street trans.
great to hear and that shift quality is one of the things that make our unit unique and durable for everyday driving too

We just installed a Level 2 from Performabuilt and so far it's great. Car weight is 4100 lbs race weight and it trapped 126 mph with the old stock tranny and a mismatched (slipping) torque convertor. We've switched the convertor to match a turbo application and I'll have new times soon. The car has not been dynoed beyond 5 psi (480rwhp). Boost is now 13 psi.
My level 2 is on the way. Frank was great to deal with as well. Time to see how their tranny will work behind my 500/500 GTO. I just wish I had known about the free cooler deal as I would have waited a few days to order my tranny.
sorry but i didnt find out about it till today , I think they do that on purpose

i've been running it for a couple months now and its holding up to my power pretty well. shifts really nice, and the fluid temps seem to run cooler than the stock one.
