I would like to know the size/thread of normal bolts to buy to replace the Hex bastards on the flexplate. When i worked at the dealer, I was told the only way was to grind the heads off! I know sombody has to have replaced these with normal bolts

 

on my friends car we just went to Advanced and got TC bolts.

 

From what I remember, they are 10mm bolts - ARP sells them...

 

I always got mine at the local Chev/Pont dealer. Sometimes you might have to heat them up to get them out.

 

The factory thread is 10 X 1.5 if that helps you any. Vince

 

chevy released a newer bolt with a standard 15mm head to replace them with. i was using them at the dealer before i left.

 

thanks guys, since my car is a very late 02, should I already have the newer bolts ?
