Yank or Vigilante....don't look anywhere else. They are both proven time and again. I'm partial to Yank....I've run three now. ST3500, SS4000 and now a PT4400. All have performed flawlessly and taken as much abuse as I could throw at them. They drove great on the street and put down the performance when needed!
You obviously can't go wrong with an Yank or Vigilante, but don't overlook the Performabuilt converters. I have one of their 3000 stalls in my bolt on LT1 car and I love it. It drives great on the street and I've run a best 60' of 1.700. There are a lot of cars around with bigger stalls that don't 60' much better than that.
^^^You also have 3.73's and some drag suspension...that helps a lot with the short time. I did 1.63 with 3.23's and Bilstein level II suspension which is basically geared towards corner-carving rather than drag racing.
I wasn't taking any jabs at you in particular. The drag lites are probably helping me more than the C/E drag shocks, since I run them set at 50/50. A good stock replace shock would do the same thing. For what I have the little 3000 Performabuilt stall is working it's *** off. I think once more people try them they will start to gain in popularity.
