why are corvette servos considered "performance" parts?

why are corvette servos considered "performance" parts? when they come stock in our 4L60e trannys? why not just call it a "stock servo?"

That is a good question because really its just the best stock servo available , But for many earlier cars it is and OEM performance upgrade,

It's gay and misleading to me. When I knew less and asked what was upgraded I eas told Corvette servo. So one with less knowledge would deduct that it's an upgrade. So many dishonest people out there ruin it for the few honest shops. My current trans builder ( & MORE). educated me on any things and I feel obligated to let people know **** like this now. No trans Co should advertise it with anything other than stock servo.

Most companies that sell transmissions will list the vette servo so you the consumer know it's in there. We do a lot of truck units and they do not come with them like your V-8 F-bodies do. I guess the real problem is that, no offence to anyone that has posted, a lot of guy's do not know that it might already be in there with your cars. I personally if a guy with an F-body were to call looking to purchase one would tell him not to buy it because it's already in there. Keep in mind that transmission builders do not just build f-body units. Vince
