finned pan or 160 Tstat
hey guys I just got a new tranny and 3000 stall with cooler I want to keep everything extra cool since we see 100's down here in the summer. Should I get a finned pan, a Derail pan (tubes to keep it cool) or a 160 tstat with fan settings.

I don't know if the dearle is any stronger than stock. I haven't seen or heard of any reports of the pan breaking. I had no ground clearance issues with it.
I think most of these pans hang a 1/2" or so lower than stock in part to increase capacity. Could be an 1", I just don't remember so let's bump this back up for you.

My TCI finned pan was mighty low, about the 1" or so.
Had to take it off once lowered (though now the long tube
Y-pipe might "protect" it...). Nice pan. If you're a truck or
stock ride height.
But fins, tubes, whatever, still nowhere near as effective
as a big-*** tranny cooler (and run the fans early).
