Default Yank 3400 or 3600?

My car is stock motor with headers and bolt ons and soon to have a 100 shot and gears. Will there be any big difference between these two converters???The car is a street car and I want it to still drive nice but I want it to perform good at the track.Next year I will be doing heads and cam also. What do you guys think?

Also, are these convertors good with nitrous? My car is a very nice low mileage (23K) car and is not my daily driver but I don't want too loose of a convertor. 3.73 gears will be installed when the convertor goes in. Future mods include cam/heads (TSP Torquer 2?) What do you guys think.....I will order a convertor sometime in the next week?

Get the SS3600E for nitrous

I have one, and 3 other guys around here do, and they swear buy them. I just put mine in about a month ago, and I love it so far..

yeah but as long as you dont go over 150 the converter wont matter.... i say go a step up and go with a SS3800 b/c all 3 wont be that much different and it will be better w/ cam and heads

I admit I've got very limited experience with my nitrous since I just put it on less than a month ago. And I have no auto experience. But my tuner and every auto guy I've talked to say that spraying will make the converter flash much higher than launching NA. Even on a small-ish shot.

I have a stock TC on my 01 SS and I have a 4k stall on my formy and to me there isn't that much in driveability lost. I say go with a 4K since your going with a H/C. Your going to love it and glad that you didn't go any lower. I can't remember which one but it's pretty tight converter.

If you have a good tuner and a window switch that should help that problem.

If you are just going to go with a 100 shot the SS3600 should work just fine.

Okay, are you guys not spraying off the line? That could be the difference.

From what I heard you don't want to do that unless you have built rear and tranny. But I might be wrong.

Only in the internet world. In the internet world, EVERY 10-bolt IS going to break. And usually SOON. But in the real world, I've seen plenty more stock rears last than not. Last forever. Especially behind auto tranny cars. But yes, anyone with a 4L60e would want a built tranny. I have seen almost every 4L60e go when behind a modded motor.

So now it will or won't flash higher on the juice? Because other than this thread, everyone says you need a different stall between NA and N2O, even on a 75 shot they say there's a considerable difference.

Question

Okay, still deciding which convertor to go with. I want to put in 3.73 gears too. Which convertor would work best with the 3.73'S or should I go with 3.90's? My combo will be headers/ y pipe, convertor, gears and a 100 shot this year and heads and cam next year.
