Default whats the difference between ......

a ls1 4l60e and a 5.3l truck 4l60e?

i believe the tailshaft is the only diffence but someone can correst me if i'm wrong

Theres is no difference unless its a 4x4 different outout shaft link, the 2wd tail housing is diferent and in some caes the bell but those can be swapped

the camaro will have a corvette servo and the truck may not That I would check and if the truck does not swap it over, You will have to look though because I have see trucks with and without the corvette servo. I am not sure if they were swapped or came that way though.

It probably depends on the year I would guess.

i had to swap the shifter linkage over when i swapped an fbody tranny into my truck.

Yes that is one thing the linkage shaft is short on the fbody and its long on the trucks to work with the PRNDL switch.Easy swap over though .

I thought the gearing may be different. Would a converter from a ls1 car work on the truck 4l60e?

insides are the same, yes converter wouod work.

The unit that you are looking at might be a 4l65e. This might be why it is $400 more. If it has an ID tag with a Z in the 3rd digit then it is a 65. An example would be 4KZD. Hope this helps. Vince
