What Rpm Are You At Going 80 Mph?
I just replaced my tranny and I think I have a higher stall torque converter I am revving at 2600 at 80 mph when I think I was at like 2300 or so before. I think the tranny came from a truck or something. Do they have higher stall converters in them?

I would not as long as lockup was working . Nor can the trans.

If your rearend gears stayed the same and your trans is a 4l60e, your cruise rpm will remain the same unless your lockup is not functioning. I'd assume you're either not in overdrive or your converter isn't locking.

Honestly If my temps are low enough now to not burn somthing up im not really worried about lockup. im so used to it its not my daily driver so.
but if someone does daily drive that size converter. You will want lockup... for mileage if nothing else. You can cool anything with enough/big enough coolers...
