Default Talked to Energy about their trans mounts

I just got off of the phone with Energy Suspension. I called them to get the part number for the trans mount for our cars.....since I can't get search to work. The guy I talked to told me that they were working on a mount for our cars that would not cause all of the vibrations. He said that their mount pushed the transmission up too high.

Either way, I need a transmission mount right now.

Where is the cheapest place to buy a stock mount. The damn dealer wants about 70 bucks for one.

thanks

Did you try autozone? I'm sure they have a stock equivalent.
Edit: Advance auto parts has several listed on their website... the correct one looks like its 31 bucks. Their site does not really have specifications on it though.

Why not just measure how much the ES mount raises the tailshaft and shim the crossmember down by the same amount? It worked for me.

That's a good Idea. I checked at Autozone and they didn't seem to know what i was talking about. I the dude kept on pulling up the engine mounts on the computer.
My energy is shot because i didn't use the plate it came with. It eventually twisted and is starting to make the bumping noise.

I looked on WS6 store's site and they have an ES, Prothane, and a B&M.

I wonder if the prothane or the B&M is shorter than the ES?

thanks

How long did it take to get busted up like that?

It took over a year for it to happen. I went throught a time when I was dealing with the stock trans and I had to pull the trans several times. Taking the mount on and off prob had a little to do with it twisting and eventually breaking.

I am just tired of the vibration.........I bought a new drive shaft and put quiet exhaust on the car. The trans mount is the only thing left that makes any noise and i don't really want to go back to the ES and have the vibration. I guess I would rather go through a 30 dollar stock type mount a year as to have the added vibration from a poly.

I just didn't realize that the parts stores carried mounts because all of them are too lazy to look it up and order one for me.

at autozone type places the ES mounts are in one of the isles not in back behind the counter, also if you buss down the nubs on the mount it fits better and reduces some of the vibrations

I may end up having to use the ES mount after all. None of the stores around here have a trans mount for my car. I guess I will grind down the nubs and maybe use some type of a shim on the crossmember.

Thanks

i have a prothane but I have not installed it yet. So, I can't tell you if they have vibration issues or not.

if the ES mounts the tranny too high will that cause any harm to it? especially under WOT? i think the vibration i'm feeling under my seat could be from the new ES trans mount i put in?

Mine vibrates like a dog shittin razor blades, I put the shim in the first time I installed it and it was really bad, then I read you werent supposed to so I took it out, it is much better now but still pretty bad, especially in 3rd gear. Im thinking of trying to get a new stocker.
