Question about Vigilante and nos!
Question about Vigilante and nos! I have a ls1 with bolt ons! I have a 4000 vigilante stall in my car! I want to spray a 150 shot of nos! Alot of people say it won't work that a yank 3600 will be better? They say the 4000 vigilante has no anti ballooning plates! Will this work or not! Thanks for all your help!

Seems like the vigs don't get any love for N2O around here

I personally feel that a 4000 stall is way to high for what you are trying to do with it. I normally suggest a 3200-3600 and I personally prefer the 3200. I do believe that Vig does come with the ballooning plate. Give PI a call to verify this and if you bought your converter new get it restalled. No offence against Yank but I have had much better luck with the Vig in my units. I have had a couple lockup clutch issues with others recently but not in the Vig. Just my opinion from what I have seen first hand lately. Maybe they got a bad batch of clutch linings. I don't know. Vince

The Vigilante comes with the anti ballooning plate. As far as the NOS, I agree with Vince the lower stall 3,200rpm will work better. I have been a distributor for PI industries for about 9 years, and have only had a few complaints in all those years, so I would highly recommend them.

The vig's usually flash higher than they are advertised, So your 4000 stall might flash to 4300 NA which would make it flash super high with N20. I agree with everyone here that it will blow threw. If you don't want to make any sacrifice NA you could go with a yank SS4000 converter which will take a 150 shot all day long and still be efficient.
