Transmisson plug need help!!!

Default Transmisson plug need help!!!

I have a 1993 trans am i htink the transmission is stock . it has the plug on it that is round and has 5 wires. the wires were striped out of the 5 prong plug and now it shifts hard and has no over drive. the plug has a threw e for the holes for the wires can anyone help me get the wires pronged into the right holes.

The plug would not cause hard shifts thats another issue, It would not cause no fourth still related to the other issue , It will cause a no lockup situation

That should not effect your overdrive. That plug is for the tcc solenoid terminal A 12 volts, ecm tcc driver terminal D, 4th gear pressure switch terminal B, 3rd gear pressure switch terminal C and 2nd clutch switch terminal E. I think if any thing you are missing lockup not 4th gear.

all the wires are striped out how do i know what color wire goes where. it goes 1st gear through 4th and 4th driving like 70 all the way to 120 never goes into the last gear

You might want to hit the U-pull-it junkyards and cut off
the last foot of a clean harness, then solder like-to-like
colors. If the pins pulled once they may not "keep" the same
again.

The only problem is that this trans is a very rare piece. Only used for one year and the internal harness is no longer available. Give me a call at the shop tomorrow and I will look up in the book to see if they give us a color code chart. If not I'll try to figure something out for you. Just curious, how did you damage the harness? Vince

it was like it when i bout it we found out when we were doing the engine swap and so im not sure but the prongs are still in the plus so they just got striped out cus no wired were on the end of the plug just the wires from the harness

Ok I think maybe I misunderstood. You need to know the wiring for the vehicle harness not the trans? My bad
