im putting another trans in my 89 astro van. its the awd. does anyone know wat kind of trans it is. im lost. i got a th350s and th400 around and they dont look alike. any one have any ideas.

 

700r4 4x4 type K on top of the case short output shaft

Well any 4x4 700r4 will work, the case should have four bolts holing the dust cover on but dont refuse a 6 bolt as you can cut the ears and it will clear also , If you look you will se where GM did the same.The cases in either situation will have a K on the bell housing

 

ooooo i think i see what ur saying. my awd astro van has a 700r4. your saying i can get a 700r4 out of a 4x4 truck and swap the tranfers cases? so swap out the 4x4 case for the awd case. thanks for all of your help. i really appreciate all of your help
