Im making stock power so hopefully it will be easier on the converter and for the price fuddle offers doesnt sound to bad. Would a 3000 stall with 2.25 str be better than 3400 with 2.1 str for a tigher feel but since str is higher would have close to same results??

I went from a 3000 / 2.2 to a 3500 / 2.0 with the intent of keeping
the same low-pedal cruising characteristics. It came out pretty
close, same level-cruise RPM, little more up the hill but not much.
The other difference is the multiplication doesn't start out big and
fade early, it keeps on going pretty far out in RPM. You're only
talking <5% kind of STR difference in this last scenario anyway, it's
not going to be a real stark thing but the 3400/2.1 will slip more
around town than the 3000/2.25 mostly due to the RPM difference,
the STR is not enough lower to get it all back at low pedal.

If you cannot hook it up more STR doesn't help you any. Consider
how you are really going to drive it, on what rubber. A trailered
track car and a "sports car" want two very different things.

I have been a distributor for Precision Industries TC's for about nine years now, and can count on one hand how many problems I have had with them. Before I carry anybody's product, I see how they handle problems, (comebacks), do they honor their warranty, did the product perfrom as expected, etc. As far as I am concerned they have an excellent reputation, and cannot go wrong using one of their TC's.

I've run PI, Yank, TCT and also Fuddle.

I have a custom Fuddle TH400 converter in the Pinks Camaro. The car has only made a handful of passes, but it went 11.3 on motor, and 10.1 with a 150 shot. Converter works decent. I think we can whittle that 11.3 down to a 10.9, and get the nitrous number down around a 9.5 before have to regear the car. Good stuff.

Vigilante, Yank, or Edge. Edge are hard to beat, and Andre provides the best customer service I've ever had. Although, I have had perfect performance from the Vigilante's I've used and put into cars. Many of my race buddies have had good luck with Yank too.

I've been through 3 Yanks. PT4000 was awesome off the bottle. Spray blew right through it. Went SS3600. Way too tight, but held the spray. Re-stalled to SS3800. Good on and off the spray. However, the clutch just gave up -- it's gone. I'm done with Yank. Should have my 3 disc Vig (3800) installed tomorrow.

how much nitrous were you trying to spray? there are several members on here running 100-150 hit's of nitrous with the PT4000 Yank with no problem's? yank also said this would be good for my application but I ended up getting a great deal on a Yank PE 4200

175. Only dropped 150 rpm on the shifts. Had to go into OD just to get to the end of the track. Still went 10.29@136. With the new converter, I'm hopeful I'll go 9s.

"Only dropped 150 rpm on the shifts." I have never seen one with so much slip, and Mike calls this a "shift extension"....... another euphemism for "slip"....

fuddle here and running great, still have to get my fat *** to the track and see what she does now. I have no problems with the converter at all, though the computer didn't take too well to the 4k stall and had to reprogram a few things..

Ended up getting a 3 disc Vigalante. 5 discs aren't available for the f-body. So far, so good. Now just need to get the tune modified to lockup third gear @ WOT.

Satisfied Vig customer since 1996. I have a Vig 3600 and its been flawless for over 10 years...I had it freshened in 2004 when I had the trans rebuilt only as a precaution and the folks at Vig told me that everything looked great inside...I dropped .5 over the LPE 2800 it replaced. It DDs like a stocker until you nail it then all hell breaks loose...Bryan at PCMforless said he loved the way the converter "hits" on the dyno...A superior product and I definitely got what I paid for...

I have had the fuddle for awhile and have been very happy with it. I had 3 PI converters until finally vicki said they couldnt build me one that wouldnt blow thru at my weight/hp.
I have whatever Fuddles top dog converter is in a 2400 stall. I have gone a 1.49 60' with it off idle which is pretty good for my heavy (3920# raceweight) car and tight converter.
At 5psi, (about 550rwhp) it is showing 99% efficiency up top which is the best i have ever had unlocked. I dont know yet what it will show at higher boost. I know Fuddle had some serious shipping probs for awhile but these seem to be remedied. I would definitely look their way for a converter.
