Who has installed a converter and still had the dreaded....
... TQ management power loss between 1-2 on a WOT pass. I see posts where some have resolved the problem with a converter and some still have it with the converter
I just purchased a VIG 3200 and was wondering who " STILL" had this problem after their converter install and did you need to remove TQ management to resolve the aggravation or was there another solution. I sure hope I don't need to spend anymore money after the install and initial tune to remove this PIA

For many people TM becomes more noticeable after a ‘verter install. It did for me. LS1 Edit fixed most of that issue though
i just got my VIG3600 put in today and i notice the TM some. but damn that bitch pulls at every punch!!! get that TM deleted and see a gain of about 2 tenths.

Is there degrees in which to tone it down with EDIT or is it either "on" or "off"

You could make it so some TM was still there if you are worried about your tranny. My TM is only about 60% removed, because I didn't see or feel any real gains past that point so I saw no need to hit the tranny with any extra abuse.

With the lack of many responses I would surmise that the percentage of still having a dead spot on the 1-2 shift with my new VIG 3200 will be low

I have a Vig3200. If you have ever driven a Powerglide ... that is what it will feel like. Nothing but rpms. When I take off from a stop, all you hear is 2500 rpms until the converter locks up. Then it's nice and quiet at cruise. If I go WOT, all you hear is 5000 rpms to 6000 rpms, back down to 5000 rpms ... repeat. I did not remove the TM when I installed my converter. I need to get LS1-Edit and kill it.

You can have Ed Wright remove it for ya. www.fastchip.com
That won't be necessary..... when the time is right and tuning is deemed necessary.... I live right around the corner from ARE.... as a matter of fact they are putting in the verter
