Re: Installing A4 dipstick its a pain in the butt! we just did a converter in a friend of ours car and it took some light beating to get it back into place 
it helps a lot though when the cars on the lift and you've got one guy on top and a couple of guys on the bottom of the car trying to get it all in place

Re: Installing A4 dipstick it wasn't too hard when I did mine... stick it in the hole, push down, then put the bolt back on (on the back of the head) from the bottom... plenty of room.
