Default just rebuild the transmission but it wont move

hi. i just the built my 700r4 for my 89 camaro, i putted in and it wont move like if i the pump isnt working any idieas? thansk

Pull a cooler line of of your cooler and see if it is pumping fluid.

like around 12 qts but it never move from the, the transmission was complete empty

Unhook a line and start car as mentioned above that way you can eliminate the pump which is the first thought that comes to mind

12 qts should be plenty.

Did you have any trouble during the installation?

The reason Vince and Frank are recommending that you remove a cooler line is to determine if the pump is capable of pumping. We see many, many guys make the mistake of not getting the converter installed correctly and subsequently causing severe damage to the pump.

hi guys, i took one off the cooler line off adn it does pump oil, i have not clue what can be wrong so pelase help

If it did spray fluild then there has to be something wrong inside. you are gonna need to pull it down and go back over your work. Holler if you need something. Its hard to say whats wrong though would seem like something would have to be missing all together to not move at all with line presure.

Listen to these tranny guys they know their stuff! performabuilt told me exactly what my tranny issue was. That thing was giving us fits and he sent me right to the problem (that I would have NEVER found on my own) Good luck to you

I am betting that the manual valve linkage is not hooked up.

Did you bolt the torque converter to the flywheel?

Sounds like a dumb question, but hey it can happen and would cause the problem. I know some people have done that before.

I made that mistake before dumb one too...I didnt take my time I just wanted to drive the car already
