flex plate problem!

Default flex plate problem!

ok i have been without my car for to long now and i need to get it back on the road so please help me lol ok i put a tci flexplate up and then the trans and tried to bolt the converter down to the flexplate and when i spun it to get to the next hole it stopped the bolt was hiting something do i have the wrong flexplate or something i need help asap thanks!

When installing the converter bolts you need to tighten them up until they are very close to the flexplate, then rotate the crankshaft to the next bolt. After they are all in , then tighten them all up.

Also, make sure you have not installed the flexplate indorrectly.

well this has got to be the wrong flexplate i dont know what else to say it didnt work

i have pics put cant make them small enough to put them on hear and no it doesnt look exactley like the old 1

I can suggest a few options. The first is to contact TCI and ask these questions to them. Give them the part# and tell them the problems that you are having. Then see what they have to say. The second option is to remove everything and line up the converter to the flex plate and see if in fact it is even possible to line everything up. Sounds like you have a mismatch or are doing something incorrectly. Let us know what you find. Vince

If the bolt heads are to big, they might hit, or if they are not tighten'd up before rotating they will hit. Do not use washers, if you are, on the head of the bolts. Also, verify the part number to be correct. Just some idears.
