I still have the OEM 4L60E with 114K miles. I have about 50 passes and shifts perfect. I have used higher stall converters for 80K miles.

I have a performabuilt stage 2 4l60-e, only driven about 2000-miles on it but has had tons of hard street launches and roll races, lol. Using a 3800-stall, pushing 430-hp to the rear wheels.

It has lasted me over 300+ passes. Making about 500HP all motor. Specialty Transmission in Duncanville, TX built it for me - Trent is truly smart when it comes to making the 4L's bullet-proof.

Well over 100 passes about 20 on a 100 shot. running low 12's on motor and mid 11's on spray. Still running strong except I think I burned up my converter.

We bracket race several of our shop cars all over the Eastern US and put 300-plus passes a season on with very few issues. If you have a properly built trans from RPM/Performa built/FLT/us, etc. you should get plenty of durability. Oh, our C5 has 176,000 miles (150,000 from bracket racing & driving to & from events) running low 11's NA & is over 2 seasons on the same trans build.

02 SS Convertible w/150 NX. Over 4100lbs. w/264lb. driver. 7.0's@101.89. 1.5-1.6 60' in 8th mile. These tranny's are great when properly set-up. Over 400 passes with lots of NX for 3 years plus all of the street beating. Back and forth to Woodward, Telegragh, then Grand Rapids 3 weeks in a row every year. My shop is in Northern Michigan. That's almost 2000 miles of highway driving alone in 3 straight weeks plus the fun when you get there.
