I put the new TCC solenoid in and with the car on jack stands I put it in 3rd gear and about 35mph I toggled the TCC solenoid on and off and its working!!,I can see the rpm's change & feel the TC lock & unlock.I looked at the old solenoid closer and it was broke,It got caught on the end of the work bench when I lifted the tranny up onto the work bench,But I didn't notice any damage till I look at it closer.Once the roads clear up I'll take for a ride and see what happens. Thanks for all the help.................Paul

Ok I put the new solenoid in,I'm logging the trans parameters its saying in the log that the TC is locked but it does not lockup.I used the Bi directional controls and commanded lock up and it locked up! I upped the TCC pressure but still nothing,It felt like its shuttering alittle when it says its locked,But with the BiDi controls no shutter or slip,It was fine.Could it be the PCM since I changed from a 97 pcm to a 99-02 pcm? I read some where you can hook a switch for it to lock up,Anybody know where that is?..................Paul

When you did your trans build did you disable PWM mechanically ?
If so you would only need to ground the tan wire with a black stripe to cause full lockup , This will set a code for TCC solenoid electrical but you can disable that code reporting if it does and continue your test. Now if you havent disabled PWM then that could be your issue also only allowing partial lockup. Or a restricted PWM solenoid screen, Ussually that will set code P1870 though Unless reporting for that code has been turned off also

In the trans DTC Fault Processing Enablers,Its either YES or NO I have YES.In Trans Failsafe Enablers I had YES so I put it to NO,Could that have been the problem? MAX Pressure Enablers I have NO.I don't remember what I did in the valvebody.Like I said it worked fine before I changed the PCM and worked on the 3-4 clutches I'll try it again during the week and see if putting the TRANS FAILSAFE ENABLERS to NO and see if it works. And there are no codes. Thanks Frank.............Paul

Nope.Ever since I changed the PCM from a 97 to a 02 PCM It does not lock up on its own.I made a lockup switch,But that's getting to be a pain ,And some times if I stab the gas peddle it will lockup. This winter I will check things out and get back to this thread.................Paul

Almost a year now. You'll get tired of that switch.I only need lockup in 4th on the highway anyway. But sometimes when coming to a toll or a stop I forget to turn the switch off and the car starts chugging along and I scramble for the switch.I'll fix it this winter......I hope.......Paul
