Default Trans cooler and FTRA

How many of you guys are running an after market trans cooler and FTRA? I was wondering about your trans cooler location. If you have any pics, please post them. Thanks,

Bruce

I did. I put the cooler off to the side of the FTRA. The FTRA covered maybe a 1/2" of it.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. Did you get enough air flow across the cooler to keep the trans fluid cool? I'm going with a 3600 stall, with 3.42's, and don't want to cook the fluid as the result of insufficient air flow.

it worked fine. I also had a 160 T-stat and matching fan settings. Together they made a big difference.

I installed mine "dope" style too years ago, it's horizontal on the passenger side, even with the lower edge of the bumper. Unfortunately Dope's site doesn't work anymore, might find something similar searching for dope style.

I have mine mounted like Ragtop 99. I have never had an issue of it getting hot, and I don't even have a thermostat. This is a crappy pic but it is mounted behind the ram air. I do not have A/C nor the front bumper support. Plenty of air gets in there to cool it.

Thanks. Did a search on "Dope style" and got what I needed. That's the way i'm going to mount my cooler. Below is the link for those interested.

Interesting. Has anyone had an issue having it mounted this way?

mine is mounted to the side of the ram air scoop, shares some of the bolts that hold the spoiler on.
