I don't know of a lot of people that run them because they are a fairly new company. I have one and it's great. I wanted a restall but I live in Texas so I called up Derek and he built me a new converter and is sending it to me without sending the other one back first. I do know Mikey at Rapid Motorsports is running one and cutting 1.2 60's all motor and running 9.70's. Maybe he'll chime in here. There's also a guy named Chuck on here who has one. He's running 10.0's with heads/cam/nitrous with his.

One thing to be aware of, as I have found out the hard way . . .

There is more than one place that makes torque converters that goes by the name TCS. The one that is a sponsor on this board is called Transmission Converter Systems - this is the one that Mikey has run a 1.2x 60-foot on.

Thanks a bunch guys. i was REALLY impressed whenever i talked to Derek on the phone for almost a half an hour. 3 year warrenty and the ability to restall when you want is TOTALLY sweet. I think i am sold! once again thanks Beeler for the recomendation

After checking with all the major convertor companies, except Yank who won't answer their phone or email, I went with TCS. Derek spent a long time on the phone with me going over the technical aspects of the different brands of convertors. After comparing the pluses and minuses of each brand I decided to go with the TCS. I bought because of the technical features but knowing that if I missed the exact setup I need I can send it back for a restall as many times as I like for free was the clincher. I also like knowing that as my setup changes I'm not stuck with a convertor that isn't right for my combination because I can get it restalled as needed. The three year warranty is sure nice to have too.

I ordered from Mikey at Rapid last week. He built me a custom converter and helped me decide what was right for my needs.

I just ordered a TCS 4400 with a 2.5 str on friday. I also did alot of checking into all the converters on the market.I have heard very good things about these converters from people who have them in there cars. There are converters that are less expensive but they come with a little or no warr and no restalls. I cant wait to get this converter installed. I will post my own coments on the performance gains as soon as i can.

I ordered my 4200 stall yesterday. All i can say is Derek is awsome on taking time to setting up a stall to your needs and i HIGHLY recomend him to anyone looking for a good stall at a good price. Im hopeing my new combo will drop me into the LOW 11sec. range.

Dammmmmm! Lots of people buying these things now. I just ordered a 4400 stal with a 2.7 str on Mon. It is being instaled as we speak. I should have the rest of the car back together by the End of Feb, and I plan on running the car in March. I was running a Vig 3600 so I hope this yields some lower 60' and another 2-3 mph on the top end. I will post when it is running on the street at least. Good Luck Guys. Bear

Hey did anyone who has one of these notice they weigh 41 pounds .That is 10 more than the vigs and the yanks. Does anyone know how this will affect performance? I just got mine and I will have it installed tomorow. Anyone have a review on these converters yet?

I hope that this thing is worth it now. Nothing like adding power or performance, and then negating that with adding weight. Oh well. We'll have to see.

Jeremy you got the Super Pro right? Thats the heavy duty one that can handle N20. The Yank PY/E nitrous converters are 34 lbs according to Yank. So its a 7lb difference.

I just weighed my stock converter (its about half full of oil) and it weighs 53.5 lbs. My TCI3000 weighed around 37 lbs from what i can remeber.

Is the TCS Super Pro strong enough to be able to lock it up at the end of 3rd gear in the 1/4? If it is, that should more than make up for the weight of it. For the lock up to be stronger it has to be heavier.

Hey guys

I got my TCS 4400 converter installed. I went out to test it today. I had my stock 16 " GSc`s on the back and there is n0 traction 1st - 2nd. The converter drives Nice around town. Not much of a difference at part throttle over the vig 3200 I just took out(which is very nice).I was affraid the converter would be way too loose with my 3.23 rear. I do notice a difference when i go more than 1/2 throttle. Since I have the street tires on the car i couldnt really do any foot stalls.

Shift Extention = 5600
Flash stall = about 4500
Foot stall = not sure
Price = 729 shipped

Is my car faster ? No Idea yet I wont be able to tell until I Get some slicks on the car and get to the track. Plus My computer reset when the battery was disconected. so it has to relearn.

More to follow but so far I am very happy.
If you have any questions feel free to msg me .

Jeremy
