Like Ragtop indicated, the shifts will lose some firmness when you install a high stall converter. That's why people usually install a shift kit at the same time. TCI's shift kit for the LT1 and LS1 4L60E is part number 376001.

Re: TCI users in here sm, how many washers did you use on the accumulator? The more you use, the harder the 1-2 shift. I have the TCI 3500 and their shift kit and the 1-2 shift is plenty firm enough (not part throttle tire chirping, I don't like that.)

Re: TCI users in here Doc, I don't know how many washers TCI used when they installed this shift kit. When I had a TransGo installed in my '00, we used 2 washers with the 3500 stall and 3 with the 4600 stall...best I remember.
