Im pretty happy with my revmax. Im of course thinking I might have gone a 3600 lol but around town driving isn't a chore so the 3200 stall is ok. I have a hard enough time launching the damn thing as it is lol So far the converter is handling abuse with a turbo. The 10bolt is back there too

I'm looking into torque converters now. Hopefully going with a Circle D here in the near future.

Subscribing for info.

Rev Max lists 4L80e converters on their site which I have been considering. Looks like they have provisions for both 3 and 6 lug flex plate attachment.

Posts were made to this thread YESTERDAY and some of our customers had asked some questions. We were simply chiming in... OOPS, did not realize that particular question was from two years ago, APOLOGIES!!

Our email account we had was compromised so we are in the process of resetting our account. We had to make a new screen name temporarily.

I just finished installin a 3600 converter from PTC. Got it for $475 including shipping. It looks like the "cheap junk" converter the OP was talking about. I guess time will tell. Personally I didn't wanna buy and install a $700+ converter for a weak 4l60e with 116XXX miles on it. Especially with all the praise of PTC I've seen on this site.

It was really wet and cold out today but I did a little goofing around on my street and I am in loooove. Its pretty loose feeling(I have 2.73s) but its like a "cool" loose feeling to me. It feels like its just begging you to stomp the gas pedal every time. Bottom line: I'm stalled and I aint ever going back.

I went with a PTC converter as well. 4000 flash (really more like 4100-4300). With a stock motor, only lid/cat back, it 60'd a 1.77 on the way to a 8.17 1/8. Didn't make many full 1/4 passes because of no helmet, but my last pass I said f it and ran it even though they told me not to lol. I only 60d a 1.87 or so that pass, made my way to a 12.97 at 103.9 or so. It has a solid 12.8 in her with a basically bone stock engine, and the slightest weight reduction (rear sear, spare, jack). 3390 without me, 3660 race weight. On the 1.77 pass the tires spun slightly so it might have a 1.75-1.74 in it.

its funny you say that about your stall speed. Because I could of swore that I got up to 3800 with no sign of spinning. But I was too excited to play around in it and my exhaust is rigged up til I can get it welded so I couldn't really focus. But I swear I hit 3700/3800 and with warped rotors, cheap wearever brake pads, and a soaking wet road. Makes me think if I did hit that, what would it do with better brakes and stickier tires.

Lol one time just messing around with the ebrake and brakes pressed all the way I got it to stall up to 4200 and that wasn't even wot, maybe 85% throttle.

Its pretty loose but drives good, shifts at around 5900 in first and 6100 in second, rpms drop to about 5k-5.1k. Runs hard, only lost by 3 cars to a full exhaust coyote 5.0, and that was a 30-140 roll, and on top of that he was M6.

Nice man. I'm gonna try to make it to the track this saturday just to see what I run. I'm on heavy *** C5 replicas, LCA relo brackets, and Nitto 555 "Extreme Performance" tires. If I could run a high 12 I'd be pretty happy.

Some converter makers spin-balance (even TCI cheapo
models are - mine was dead smooth) and some only
static-balance (my Fuddle had a vibration that would
come and go, which annoyed me a little - until the cam
swap made it unnoticeable behind the natural lope and
motor shake).

Ask the detail question, if you care about smoothness
at idle & low cruise. But I think most folks going up in
stall speed are prepared to ignore a little added vibe,
or already have so much that a little more doesn't
matter to them.
